Sod Installation

Sod gives you a green lawn the day it goes down, and it is the fastest cure for bare, weedy or muddy ground. Results depend on the work under the sod: grade, soil and the first two weeks of watering.

We install sod across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, stripping old turf if needed, grading and amending the soil, laying tight seams and rolling for contact. We choose fescue, bermuda or zoysia to suit your sun, use and maintenance, and explain how to water it in.

FAQ

Common questions about sod installation

Fescue, bermuda or zoysia sod?

Fescue likes shade and stays green longer. Bermuda and zoysia love full sun and heat. We recommend based on your site.

How soon can we walk on new sod?

Light foot traffic after about two weeks, once roots have knit into the soil.

How often should new sod be watered?

Daily or more in the first couple of weeks, then tapering as roots deepen.
